GIVEN ASYLUM STATUS. SHE’S EXPECTED TO APPEAR BEFORE COURT JANUARY 31ST. WOULD YOU LEAVE MIND YOUR KIDS, CELL PHONE AND ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME TO BE CHASED DOWN HOPES OF WINNING A CASH PRIZE? A HILSBORO COUPLE DECIDED TO TAKE ON THAT CHALLENGE. WE SAT DOWN WITH STEPHEN KING ABOUT THEIR ROLE ON THE NEW REALITY TV SHOW HUNTED. THEY’RE SO-CALLED FUGITIVES ON THE SHOW FOLLOWING NINE TEAMS OF TWO IN A REAL LIFE MANHUNT AS PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE HUNTERS TRIED TO TRACK THEM DOWN BY SEARCHING CELL PHONE HISTORY. IF THE FUGITIVES MANAGE TO EVADE THE HUNTERS FOR 28 DAYS THEY CAN WIN 250 THOUSAND DOLLARS. BUT THAT POSSIBILITY CAME AT THE COST OF BEING AWAY FROM THEIR THREE KIDS AND NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO CALL THEM. . IF I HAD MY MOMENTS — I REALLY WANTED TO GO HOME. MY DAD SAID WE’RE NOT GOING HOME. HERE’S THE REASON WHY. GOING INTO THIS — IF WE’RE GOING TO SACRIFICE 28 DAYS FROM BEING AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILY THEN WE’RE GOING TO GO IN SAYING WE’RE DOING WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN AND WIN THIS. AND WHAT’S GOING TO GET YOU CAUGHT? MAYBE THE PHONE CALL. IT MAY MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE OUR CHILDREN, THAT ALMOST MAKES IT HARDER IF YOU MAKE THE PHONE CALL AND YOU MAKE THAT CONNECTION VERSES HAVING NO CONTACT AT ALL. IT’S TOUGH FOR THEM BOTH ESPECIALLY STEVEN WHO WAS A STAY AT HOME DAD AT THE TIME THEY SHOT THE SHOW BACK IN JUNE.
